With a full calendar of events scheduled throughout the year, there's always a good reason to come and stay in Torquay. Here are some of the highlights for this year...
12th April Agatha Christie Spring Gathering | One-day festival with guest speakers, book signings and the unveiling of the new status on Torquay harbourside. A ticketed event which includes evening entertainment and dinner. |
3rd – 5th May Brixham Pirate Festival | A weekend packed with live music, shanty markets, re-enactments and lots of pirates!! |
24th – 30th May UNESCO Geopark Festival | A programme of Geopark Discovery experiences across Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Events include walking tours, sustainability events and creative or nature-based events both on and off the water |
31st May – 1st June English Riviera Airshow | A weekend of breathtaking air displays over the bay with events and entertainment on Paignton Green |
14th – 15th June Torbay Pride | A weekend of inclusive family fun including comedy and live music and the Pride Parade |
14th – 22nd June English Riviera Walking Festival | A 9-day walking festival with over 20 guided walks. From local historic walks, short walks in the countryside or exploring the South-West Coastal Path there is something to suit all interests and abilities. |
11th – 13th July Electric Bay Festival | Two-day open air dance music festival based at Torre Abbey Meadows. This year’s headline acts include Bloc Party and Fatboy Slim |
5th – 7th September Superchamps Stand-Up Paddleboarding English Riviera Championships | Two-day SUP championships featuring races, activities, demonstrations and presentations, bringing the joy of SUP to both families and elite athletes. 13th – 21st September The Agatha Christie Festival | A week-long celebration of the Queen of Crime across the English Riviera including fun and literary events |
26th September – 12th October England’s Seafood Feast | Immerse yourself in some of the best seafood in the world hosted by over 30 eateries across Torquay, Brixham and Paignton |
